The Treasure is the end goal of Build A Boat For Treasure. It is obtained by passing through all the Stages without dying, then floating to its beach.

Rewards[]
Upon touching the chest for the first time, it gives the following rewards:
- the Master Boater! badge,
- unlocking the Plane Blocks, Ultra Jetpack, and Sonic Jet Turbine packages for purchase in the Shop,
- a Gold Block,
- and 105 gold (200 with Gold Multiplier, 132 gold with Group Perk, and 237 with both) if passed all Stages in the run.
All subsequent Treasure openings offer only the latter two rewards. After touching it, the player will teleport back to their Building Space. It will take roughly ten seconds before the player may open the Treasure again.
Christmas event rewards[]
Occasionally, during Christmas events, the Treasure's rewards are slightly altered. During the 2017 Christmas event, it also rewarded a Large Green Present, equal to 8 blocks. In 2020, the Gold Block was replaced by the Yellow Gift. In 2021, it was replaced by the Light Blue Gift.
Quest-related rewards[]
Some quests require the player, often alongside some object, to reach the Treasure, though they are not required to open the it. These include the permanent Thin Ice quest and the now-removed, alternative reward for the Soccer quest. Additionally, during the 2018 and 2019 Christmas event, players could bring the Friendly Gingerbread Man to the Treasure for the Green Present and Green Present 2019, respectively.
Black wall interactions[]

Opening the Treasure without passing through any Black Walls will instantly kill the player instead of offering rewards. At least one black wall or the Stage Entrance must be touched to earn rewards. The number of Black Walls touched also affect the amount of Gold earned. If none are passed through except the Stage Entrance, then the amount of Gold rewarded from the Stages is normally 8 (10 with Group Perk, 16 with Gold Multiplier, and 18 with both), and the amount of Gold rewarded from the Treasure is normally 25 (32 with Group Perk, 50 with Gold Multiplier, and 57 with both).
Bugs[]
- It was previously possible to claim the Treasure thousands of times consecutively by losing connection while standing on the chest; however, this glitch has since been patched.
- Touching the chest while holding the Building Tool will create a "ghost" of whatever block was selected.
- Any item or block that is on the Treasure chest will not get destroyed by the sand. This means the player can attach a Portal to themselves and place the portal on the chest. This allows them to teleport to the Treasure.
- If click the Daylight Setting in the Menu during the Treasure opening animation, the map will look dark.
Trivia[]
- As of the 6/20/20 update, the Treasure plays an opening animation when the player touches it.
- The player must touch the lid or sides of the chest to open it in the past but only need to touch any part of the chest now.
- In the past, the amount of Gold rewarded from passed through the Stages was normally 3, 4 with Group Perk, 6 with Gold Multiplier, and 7 with both.
